The Infant Development Program (IDP) is a family-centred, home visiting program for children, birth to 3 years of age, who are experiencing or at risk for a developmental delay. Together with families, childcare providers and other community professionals, Supported Child Development works collaboratively to ensure that children (birth to 19 years of age) with additional needs can be included fully in the childcare settings of their families’ choice. This is done primarily though consultation and can include provision of resources, information, and in some cases, extra staffing support.

Children’s Respite Services has served Langley families for the last 35 years providing parents and caregivers with a break from caring for their child with a developmental disability and/or medical illness. This is a time for parents and caregivers to enjoy some rest and renewal from daily demands while providing opportunities for the child to be introduced to new activities and interactions helping them grow in many ways.
All families are referred by priority to our Respite Service by the Ministry of Children and Family Development’s Children and Youth with Support Needs Division. Please contact your MCFD - CYSN Social Worker for more information.
Children’s Respite Care Providers are contracted by Inclusion Langley and undergo a stringent screening process mandated by MCFD’s contract and the agency’s CARF accreditation standards.
If you are interested in becoming a Care Provider or would like more information, please contact Inclusion Langley’s Children’s Respite Coordinators at 604-534-1155, or complete the application form below:
