DESCRIPTION:Free Workshop \nRegistration is Required | Please register here. \nMalgosia Tomanik\, M.Ed.\, is a Family Consultant who specializes in supporting children from preschool to high school age and their parents/caregivers in a variety of environments\, including homes\, school\, and childcare settings. Malgosia is experienced in addressing concerns associated with the daily challenges of caring for a child/youth who requires support\, helping to make sense of difficult behavior and supporting the “big people” for each child in finding a way through. \nMalgosia also is employed as an FASD Key Worker with the Fraser Valley Child Development Centre in Abbotsford\, Canada. In her role as a Key Worker\, Malgosia provides support to parents/caregivers raising children and youth who are living with FASD.\nShe has delivered numerous workshops and training sessions to various adult audiences: childcare providers\, school staff\, parents and caregivers\, potential adoptive families\, social workers\, police officers and mental health clinicians regarding child’s development\, addressing challenging behaviors\, parenting issues and specific disabilities such as FASD\, Autism. \nHer educational experiences have included a Certificate in Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities; a Certificate in Addressing Challenging Behaviours; FASD Training provided by the MCFD\, BC; courses in Adult Education\, University of Victoria\, BC and a master’s degree in education\, University of Szczecin\, Poland. \nNo children please.
